*Dusts off journal* ...What does one say after being gone three months short of a year, "How do you do?"

Well, whatever one typically says, I'm saying: "Long time no see; I won't be insulted if you don't remember me." Now, mind you, I might try to help you remember. Hopefully I myself have not forgotten too many people. Luckily, we have Friend Watch lists and Galleries to help with that. Now then....
Obviously, everything has been put on hiatus. Comics, RPs, everything. To say anything otherwise would be lying. There are many reasons for the hiatus, one of them being the fact that I'm a college student who is nearly finished with her Freshman year.

College is FUN, but requires some hard work if you want to do well. I happen to be going to small, private one, and it's perfect for me. The dorms could stand to be larger (AND PET FRIENDLY! Ahem.), but are overall livable. I'm surrounded by nature, as the college is on a nature reserve. It makes walking to classes quite pleasant; you'll often see squirrels, lizards, butterflies, and all sorts of adorable creatures scuttling about. Speaking of walking, the campus is quite walkable; though I'll admit it took me a couple of weeks in the fall semester to get used to it (I never had to walk much in high school). I wasn't planning on joining any clubs, but I kind of fell into an Anime Club.

I had a friend in my Martial Arts course (which I'm now a yellow belt in hapkido, btw) who was into anime. I am also into anime, so we often talked about it. He had a friend who wanted to start an anime club, and the two of them together were looking for newcomers. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to be one of the founding members of a potentially awesome club, so I joined and am now the secretary.

Both guys are now good friends of mine, and we watch anime together roughly one to two times a week, with other members coming in and out. We also share a few similar video gaming experiences, and I fell into the Yu-Gi-Oh card game (before which, I had experience only in playing certain video games that simulated dueling). It's fun, but I'm obviously not that good yet; my skills and deck are rather undeveloped (although Starter Decks are surprisingly balanced). Hopefully, I'll get better at it.
So, overall, I'm doing well. My courses have been interesting, overall, and the teachers are great here. I made good grades in the fall semester, and hope to repeat that in this semester. Another biggie: I have my very first boyfriend ever!

We met in the fall (he was in my math course), and after several long and engaging conversations over various subjects, we officially declared ourselves as a couple, and started dating on September 10th. The relationship is still going strong, and we will have dated for seven months come April 10th. I'm as happy as a clam about these developments.

I also kind of dragged him into the anime club, but at least he seems to enjoy it.

The club is at its best when most of the members are together; talk about zany fun.

Now, concerning my usage of Deviantart....
Good news: Summer is less than a month away. Such a break will be refreshing as lots of papers and such are due before this is going to be over. Wish me luck. :crossfingers: Bad news: I'm not sure how many of the hiatuses (if any) are going to go away in the near future. This summer is going to be a busy one for me, as I'll be looking for (and hopefully finding) a job, attempting a few CLEP tests, helping with Vacation Bible Schools, and other things. Overall, I'll still be busy; I thought college would give me more time to do things, but that was an incorrect assumption. I have about as much free time as I did in high school, and it's not likely to improve much over the next few years. At least I'm happy and well, and I thought that I would at least let you guys know that. In concern to the old RPs...I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that yet.

I'll have to discuss those with each of you individually on a later date.
Well, that's enough about me. How about you? How are you? I'll only be on the site for a few minutes today, but I'd love to at least kind of catch up, if it's possible.
